Download of The Week Returns! (Sort of)

Those of you who have been following DS Galaxy since it became a blog may remember that every week I would post a Download of The Week, where I would review a particular Cob, breed or metaroom, giving my opinion along with pros and cons. You'll be pleased to here that Download of the week has returned in the form of a featured download, which can be viewed on the right hand side of the blog, and there will be a new download featured every Friday.

Download Of the Week - Apple Norns

Originally created to be released with The Canopy metaroom, the Apple Norns are somewhat similar to Treehugger Norns. They are also immune to ATP Decoupler and Cyanide, both of which are found in apple seeds.

Download Of the Week - Gaia

Have you ever wanted a living, breathing robotic pet? Then why not try Lis Morris' brilliant Gaia?

Gaia is a rather large robotic creature who spends her time in the Engineering area of the Shee Ark. Whenever a species becomes extinct on board the ship, Gaia can use her special abilities to bring it back! Also, Gaia doesn't need regular food to survive; just give her some old useless gadgets and she'll gobble 'em up! She'll also need a regular supply of bioenergy, so make sure you have plenty!

Note: If you have the exodus version of Creatures 3, then you will need to copy all of the files from your My Documents folder to the Creatures 3 directory in order for Gaia to work correctly.

Download Of the Week - Aquatilis Caverna

My download for this week is the fantastically beautiful Aquatilus Caverna metaroom. This enormous place is perfect for amphibious and aquatic Norns and provides a wealth of interesting, quirky flora and fauna such as the adorable Kyutai Whales and the highly dangerous Pest Jellyfish.

You may also wish to download the Aquanorns available from here. Once you download them, you may wish to download some CFE Aquanorns here, as they are far better swimmers than the originals and have better intelligence.

Download Of Last Week - The Norn Garden

Unfortunately due to running out of internet data on my mobile internet dongle, I wasn't able to post a download of the week last week. Therefore, here's last week's:

The Download of Last Week is the brilliant Norn Garden metaroom created by Tomtschek. It provides plenty of room for your Norns and has its own wildlife and ecostystem! The pond to the left also provides a new area for your Crobsters to live!

Download Of the Week - KT and the Sabertooth Norns

The download for this week is Ghosthande's amazing KT metaroom and Sabertooth Norns!

KT is a very large prehistoric-themed metaroom with it's very own wildlife, and lots of toys to keep your Norns entertained! However, KT is also dangerous, as the ferocious Rexes that roam around intend on giving your Norns are nasty bite!

Also released with KT are the Sabertooth Norns. These cute cat-like Norns are unusual from most Norns because they are carnivores, so make sure you provide them with lots of tasty critters to eat!

Download Of the Week - Creatures Full of Edits

From now on every Friday, I will be posting a link to an addon for Creatures Docking Station that I believe is essential in order to get the most out of your game. I hope you enjoy!

The Download Of the Week is none other than the superb CFE (Creatures Full of Edits) genomes created by Vampess. These tweaked genomes fix many problems in the default genomes of Docking Station Norns, from frequent elevator call button pushing, to increasing their chances of survival.
