Creatures Series Intro Compilation (1996 - 2000)

Last week I posted a video compilation of the introductory sequences from each of the creatures games: Creatures 1, Creatures 2, Creatures Adventures, Creatures 3 and Creatures Playground, to The Norn Nebula's YouTube channel. I would have posted about this sooner, but encountered some heartbreaking news last Tuesday - one of my real-life friends had sadly taken his own life after apparently being missing since Sunday. I know it is a sensitive subject to talk about and may upset some people, but if you are feeling down or depressed, please speak to a professional, or someone close to you, such as a friend or relative. Nobody should have to face this alone.

In regards to the Norn Nebula, I'm planning on adding some more stuff to the new YouTube channel, and may even record some new gameplay videos similar to Jessica's of Discover Albia. I've been busy a lot grieving recently and I've been working on uni work so I've not had much time, unfortunately. I'll try and get stuff done as soon as I'm available, however.

Also, today marks the second day of the CCSF 2016. You can find out more on the CCSF 2016 website here.

  2. Thank you for the kind words, it was a massive shock. Thinks are beginning to get better now, though.

  3. Wow, thanks for posting this video. The nostalgia is so vivid and real.

I wish you and your friend's family all the best in this difficult time.

  4. Thanks for sharing this video compilation, C-Rex! It's interesting to see how the first two games had inferior animation vs. Creatures 3, yet felt so much more alive. The C1 video doesn't even have any spoken language, and I think that's what makes it so great! It's fun to see these, and I hope that others who are new to the series have the chance to see these. They're certainly an important piece of Creatures history!

On a more serious note, my condolences to you and your friend's family.

  5. Thanks Jessica. I wasn't immediately sure whether I should mention it, but decided it's something that shouldn't be brushed under the carpet, as things like this happen. Hopefully, I might make some Creatures videos at some point this year and get round to revamping the Norn Nebula's YouTube Channel.
